Stoneborn tend to stand out more than any other type of elementborn. His skin is rough to the touch and appears stony, and due to his nature he often seems dusty and unwashed. Occasionally a stoneborn is born with what appears to be veins of mineral running through his body. These veins give off a glow when he unleashes his elemental powers.

Elementborn (Stoneborn) Statistics:

Type: A stoneborn creature gains the earth subtype.

Senses: A stoneborn creature gains tremorsense +30ft

Defensive Abilities: If the base creature has an ability that is bypassed by the same element as the element infusing the base creature, such as regeneration, it loses that mode of bypass for the ability. Additionally, it gains the following:
Elemental Body (Ex)
Elementborn creatures’ bodies gain some of the qualities of elementals. Each time an elementborn creature is exposed to a bleed, precision damage, poison, paralysis, sleep, or stunning effect, it has a 25% chance to avoid it.

Weaknesses: An elementborn creature loses any weakness dependent on its chosen element.

Speed: A stoneborn creature retains the base creature’s speeds and gains a burrow speed equal to its highest speed. It can burrow through rock at half speed.

Special Attacks: A stoneborn creature gains the following special attacks.
Barrage (Su)
Once every 1d4 rounds, a stoneborn creature can release a storm of rock in a 30-foot-radius spread. Those within range take 1d6 bludgeoning damage per 2 Hit Dice the stoneborn creature possesses. A successful Reflex save halves this damage. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Earth Mastery (Ex)
A stoneborn creature gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls if both it and its foe are touching the ground. If an opponent is airborne or waterborne (not to be confused with Windborn or Wetborn), the stoneborn creature takes a -4 penalty on attack and damage rolls. These modifiers apply to overrun and bull rush maneuvers as well.

Abilities: A stoneborn creature’s ability scores change from the base creature’s as shown below.
Str: +4 Dex: -2 Con: +2 Int: -2 Wis: +2 Cha: -4

Bonus Feat: A stoneborn creature gains Iron Will as a bonus feat.

Special Qualities: A stoneborn creature retains all the base creature’s special qualities and gains the following.

Earth’s Armor (Ex)
The stoneborn creature’s natural armor bonus improves by +2 over that of the base creature.
